We will have cabbage, ham and black eyed peas. That's the staple, the no question about it, must have. What's yours?

Can I send my wife to your house for lunch?

I eat whatever strikes my fancy at the time. Absolutely no ritual foods for me.

Absolutely. She's welcome anytime. You, on the other hand...

Man!! Black eyed peas sounds good. We haven't had a good luck menu set in stone, it seems like we are always still running around as the last of the holiday hoopla ends.

We snack all day until dinner time. Then ham, cabbage and black eyed peas for dinner. I don't want to even think about the calories consumed today.

Bowl of home made chili and a PB&J sammich with a cold glass of milk hit the spot.
