One of the few countries the French have been able to historically beat or at least hold their own against.

Theoretically, this loss is huge for the young Americans, in terms of odds of winning it all.

I was really looking forward to seeing the USA vs. Spain on Sunday.

This is a huge loss for the Spaniards, especially given that they were playing on their home turf.
