Top-ranked junior Andrew Wiggins has changed plans and won’t attend the University of Kentucky’s Big Blue Madness so that he can instead go back home to Canada during fall break, according to Evan Daniels of FoxSportsNext (formerly called Scout.com),

Wiggins said he’ll come to a UK game this season instead. The Wildcats and Florida State are the front-runners for Wiggins, who has pondered a move to the 2014 class.

Seniors Aaron and Andrew Harrison, Marcus Lee and Derek Willis and juniors JaQuan Lyle and Cliff Alexander are still expected on the Madness guest list.

–Meant to post this over the weekend, but here’s the link to Sunday’s C-J recruiting notebook, which led with it an item about Kentucky and Louisville 2014 target Rashad Vaughn, a Minnesota shooting guard.

I have gotten to see a whole lot of Vaughn, but he has deep range, is capable of making high-difficulty jumpers and is a good athlete.

Vaughn said U of L coach Rick Pitino may be coming to see him this week. Assistants Kareem Richardson and Kevin Keatts have already been to his school, Robbinsdale Cooper on separate occasions.

UK’s John Calipari came last month and offered a scholarship.

Just FYI, but Larry Vaught reported it on our Premium Board 10/4/2012. It's hard to beat Evan Daniels for a scoop, but Larry did it by a few days this time. :)

Though I am a member of Premium Board I missed that from Larry. Need to visit more often. :)

It's easy to miss, depending on the day. We've had some pretty strong activity there. I like that, but would like to see more free board activity too.
