View Full Version : Temps fudged be warmologists and their computers

I cannot say the fudging of temperatures comes as a surprise. When the warming nuts claimed this past April was the warmest April recorded despite northern hemisphere temps being extremely cool it was obvious that some funny math was being used.

It is also not surprising our left tilted media has failed to mention this info on newscasts. The US has spent billions on a lie.

Goddard shows how, in recent years, NOAA’s US Historical Climatology Network (USHCN) has been “adjusting” its record by replacing real temperatures with data “fabricated” by computer models. The effect of this has been to downgrade earlier temperatures and to exaggerate those from recent decades, to give the impression that the Earth has been warming up much more than is justified by the actual data. In several posts headed “Data tampering at USHCN/GISS”, Goddard compares the currently published temperature graphs with those based only on temperatures measured at the time. These show that the US has actually been cooling since the Thirties, the hottest decade on record; whereas the latest graph, nearly half of it based on “fabricated” data, shows it to have been warming at a rate equivalent to more than 3 degrees centigrade per century.

you mean the government is capable of lying?

Any theory needing to rely so consistently on fudging the evidence, I concluded, must be looked on not as science at all, but as simply a rather alarming case study in the aberrations of group psychology.

Exactly, group psychology and the underlying massive political and social engineering agenda that this fear mongering is being used to advance. Now the government is justified in regulating almost every aspect of life in the name of global warming, engineering the entire economy and bringing everything under their control and thus their vision of social justice, not to mention their corruption and wealth as their power grows.

I think it is important to include the fact the the US spending money is that the money spends comes from those of us who pay taxes. There is a huge group of people in the good ole USA that seem to think the money the government spends is a never ending supply of funds that magically appear when it is needed.

To be more on point to the topic, there is a website dedicated to showing the real world temps that completely blows the fabricated numbers out of the water, but please remember that all the glaciers are melting, thawing permafrost is releasing massive amounts of methane, and polar bears are dying

It is amazing how those in industries that fund Obama's campaigns are those that benefit from all the green movement stuff.

Don't forget. We need massive amounts of Federal grants to fund research into methane produced by sheep. That's clearly the number one cause of sheep made global warming. Eat more mutton!

If you want to see why many of the models are screwed up............click the link and look at the temps readings that are outside the Bowling Green heat island. 30 years ago the numbers out in the country and the official number that is recorded at the BG airport, which was out in the country 30 years ago, would have been much closer. The TV station reading that is higher than the rest makes no sense at all. Maybe need to calibrate the equipment.

To combat this growing din of model criticism, a fabulous storyline has been cobbled together from bits and pieces of the dozens of speculative explanations that have been forwarded as a cause for the pause. Climate catastrophists have gone from hiatus deniers to hiatus embracers, even going as far as to perversely claim that the hiatus actually strengthens the case for dangerous global warming.

It doesn’t.

At the very least, the lack of global temperature rise during the past two decades shows that climate models do not have a good handle on natural processes and the magnitude of their impact on the climate. More probably, it indicates that climate models predict too much warming from greenhouse gas emissions. Most likely, it is both.

Sums it up really well Dan.

it's a lie. There's some truth to it, obviously the climate of the planet shifts and has always shifted, and will long after mankind is gone, and clearly we're spewing out a lot of gasses from power plants and cars, but there's where it gets really fuzzy really fast.

The main problem is obvious IMO: the climatology of this planet is vastly complex with many different input variables, and we simply don't have the models to accurately describe it, much less predict its future. We know the sun has an impact, but putting a number on that, the tectonic plates and volcanoes, man-made emissions, and then the 1,000s of counter-variables whose values all change in relation to each other, is nearly impossible.

yet these guys do that, with very sparse if any real data on the interactions of these variables, and then put a hard number on some future prediction. The models have failed for 20 years because a) we simply don't know enough of the variables and equations, and b) they WANT to predict horrible things from man-made energy production so they predict them and ignore any science that questions their hockey-stick predictions of doom.

It's the largest elitist/government power grab ever seen on this planet. Convenient that those entities in which the power is being concentrated are the ones funding all the "research" to justify it.

China has made Obama a heck of a deal. They'll agree to not come up with some even dirtier power production than burning coal, not reduce emissions really but promise to not make it even worse, we agree to pay them tens of trillions over the next 50 years and shut down the patent and trademark office so they can rip off every bit of intellectual property we've accumulated as a nation.

The sad part is that he'd sign up for that in a heartbeat. it will make us equal by making us poor and devoid of assets, and the Chinese will probably give him a medal he can wear. Something shiny, like beads.
