4min to go in 1st quarter, MSU 7 UK 0, we have yet to get a 1st down. Keeneland attendance will be more than UK fan attendance at the game.

Is this the "game thread"?

Sure, if you can call it a game, this is surely a thread. :)

Hey, Towles just threw a good looking pass and got our first 1st down. Regardless of outcome would love to see him have a good game.

CBBN, I have just taken an ambivalent attitude towards the rest of this football season. I will watch, of course, and I will pull for our team, but in my heart I know this season was over after the Louisville loss, and that was just solidified by the loss to WKU and the beatdown administered by Florida.
I watched our DB's collide with each other on the first MSU TD. That score could have been stopped, but as is usual with anything Kentucky football, anything that can go wrong will, and it did there, again, as usual.

I can see why Towles was 4th string. Wow. If he has this kind of game Sanders/Joker should be fired before they can get out of the tunnel.

Okay, copy that CBBN. Thanks!

Wow, nice TD pass by Towles to King. Blown coverage by MSU, but I'll take it. At least we won't get shut out again in another SEC game today.

Towles did a great job timing against the pressure to let that develop and put the pass on the money knowing the hit was coming.

More than early, but great start.

Jeez, 3rd and 1 and we blow it.

Nice TD run by Whitlow. Or, as Cawood would've said, "Touchdown Kentucky! Whitlow on the 'nekkid reverse'"
Sadly, if he were still alive and was calling the games, we'd be hearing him say a whole lot of "Kentucky ball, it's third and a mile!"

Mississippi State 27
Kentucky 14

To bad on the Towles injury...I was really wanting to see what he looked like after MSU made second half adjustments.

Yeah, I just saw Towles on the sideline on crutches wearing an ankle boot.
We're just not catching any good breaks at all. None.

Final score:

Mississippi State 27
Kentucky 14

We played well in places, played terrible in other places in the game. Our D-line & DB's just are not very good, missing tackles, overrunning plays, arm tackling. Our O-line is hit-or-miss, play well one play, then get embarrassed on the next. Our QB play is what it will be with two freshmen playing all of the snaps, some good, some bad.
Like I stated earlier, I'll keep watching because I love Kentucky football, but all this is is just more pain & misery for Kentucky fans, which is about all we've ever known and probably all we'll ever know.

This season is Titanic-like.

At least the Titanic looked good before it hit the iceberg and then it sank quickly.

This is more like the Trail of Tears or the Bataan Death March. A slow, excruciating path you cannot avoid leading to an inevitably horrible outcome.

Jeeminy, just got in from work and heard that Towles got hurt!
How bad is it and Lord have Mercy, we have had a time of it!

Questionable for next week is about all that has been said.

I hope, beyond hope, this youngun is healthy and can go if needed, and maybe even a couple of series, if he isn't needed, to see where he is 'cause it looks like Arky just got a little bit of enthusiasm back just in time for our visit.

If Towles doesn't come back there's no way we've got a shot to win anything left on the schedule besides Samford.
