Got excited as I found $3.439 after seeing $3.60+ all over. What a bargain!

Can't wait for the California and NY folks to chime in.

Bought it for $3.39 on I-75 north of Chattanooga yesterday, and it was $3.64 in BG last night when I came home. Most gas I saw in TN on the 3 day tour averaged $3.49

I January I bought gas in Ashland for $2.959. Within a couple of days prices had jumped to about $3.30 and have steadily increased since then. When I bought gas early last week it was $3.779. Oil prices are way off the all time high, no reason for gas prices to be pushing $4 a gallon.

While gas and oil prices are often correlated. Right now it's gasoline exports that are supposedly causing the price hike. China is buying loads of gasoline from us. Driving prices up, we are looking at being net positive on gasoline exports later this year.

No new refineries in ages is a killer. We have had no refineries go online since 2008. The one prior to that went online in 1998. There is a small refinery scheduled to go online about the end of the year, but we need capacity.
