Waxman has been a thorn in the side of business, agriculture, and American people in general for 20 freaking terms (http://www.foxnews.com/politics/2014/01/30/rep-waxman-to-retire-at-end-year/)

Hope the voters do not find another idiot to replace him with

Another Commiefornia scumbag will take his place. That's how they roll out there.

Like suncat I hold out little hope they'll elect someone I actually like, but anyone new will be extremely junior and without near the influence Waxman had. Waxman is in my top 10 worst Congressmen list. He's big government, tax and spend to the core.

I agree with the sentiment, I have many who I see as worse. Reid, McConnell, Charlie Rangle, Maxine Water, Pelosi, Boxer, Alan Greyson, Wasserman-Schultz, the dude who thought Guam would tip over...those off the top of my head

Good list. lol. I'd have Reid, Rangle and Pelosi above him and Boxer, but Maxine doesn't have nearly the clout/political chips Waxman had so they while she's nuts she doesn't have as much impact. I don't like McConnell either but on different grounds, b/c he's just another sell out Republican, but I'll still vote for him b/c the alternative is far far worse.

Reid with the stripping of the filibuster rules has moved to #1 on my list simply b/c he is undermining the very fabric of democracy. Rangle is #2 on there for me. He is crazy, corrupt, beyond liberal and has great influence.

The list was made 2 shorter when Weiner and Barney Frank exited. And then the drunked Kennedy passed away
