View Full Version : Kindle users---how do you "share" a book?
I know its possible but don't know how to do it. One of the reasons I was slow to get one was because I liked to read books and share them, as well as do the library thing. So I heard that one can buy a book and loan it to another kindle owner for 2 weeks. How is this done?
I should add that I just figured out how to do it on some books, books that the publisher has allowed (go to manage you kindle, then action) but is there a way to lend or share a book that does not offer that option thru amazon/the publisher? Being able to lend a free book really isn't a big deal because the lendee can just download the book itself for free.

As I understand it you can share only amongst kindles registered to the the same Prime account - which make the entire notion of sharing as they advertise it a bit misleading.
I have looked into this several times and always end up back here.
People suggest the you detach a kindle from an account add it to another - add a "shared" book and then add it back to the first account.
