is that a lot? ;) I have no idea what the average homocidal lunatic stocks up, though I do wonder why the do that then leave it at home when they to out to kill a bunch of people and themselves.

Thank goodness he was spotted and the campus police got there so quick. This guy was clearly up to no good, but in the end it was security response that stopped the incident. The gun he had was already illegal there, as was the magazine, fat lot of good that did. I'm going to be curious to see how he obtained them and the rest of the history.

The article said he lived at home but kept his room padlocked. Mom, dad, thats a CLUE. There's a point when privacy crosses to paranoia and you should get concerned.

Every soccer Dad I know has that much in his SUV.

I'm only half-kidding.

Heck, I'm not a gun person, but I'm sure I have a few hundred rounds of 9mm, .38 special, .45 ACP and .22. I haven't shot a gun in more than a year (I need to go--we have a relatively new indoor shooting range, super, super nice, and 1/2 price for four hours a day in the middle of the day, a time I can easily make).

Anyway, I'm short of the 2,700, but I bet all my soccer Dad buddies aren't.

2700 rounds really isn't that much ammo if it is in various sizes. Heck, .22 ammo comes in boxes of 750 rounds, a case of shells for the old clay pigeons has 500 rounds.
