74 here (N Shelby County, south of Birmingham), but in the 30's just on the northern side of Birmingham. I'm in that yellow green area around the g and the h.

Oh, and I'm currently at my house. It is 79 degrees inside.

Yup this one is flat weird all across the midwest. Warmer air at the surface and cold air aloft. It should have been snowing here for 24 hours and it has rained for 24 hours and the temps are about 33 degrees at the surface.

Now that the warm air is retreating southwestward the cold air is able to sink to the surface and late this afternoon and night will be dicey around my house.

I hope you are appreciating the Christmas present Montana had sent your way. Back in my day we didn't post iPhone weather screenshots on Facebook until the mercury dropped below -30. And since it hasn't, "let it snow, let it snow, let it snow!"

I left work 2 hours early today, mostly because I wasn't really looking forward to driving home in this mess in the dark. My 25 mile commute still took an hour and 20 minutes.

Speaking as someone who gets annoyed when the weather gets worse than t-shirt weather, you can take your snow back and do you know what with it. :)

I BLAME BLUEBOSS!!! Clearly there was not enough effort put into the salting and brining.

I take full responsibility, I didn't go all in and buy the snow blower.....:(

As far as as salt and brine goes, there will be a dead zone extending at least three feet out into the grass that borders my walkways, and driveway.
