A bit surprised there is little to no discussion of the game unless I missed it.*. Anyone?

I wondered the same. Saw highlights on LEX18's FB page but not much else.

Erin was there and tweeted during game, but they had a big game today, so I suspect she has become preoccupied. Look forward to her thought; certainly more enjoyable than football discussion right now. ;).

I've been most interested to hear about support--attendance. Even if the games bring in a nice cash contribution, I'd be disappointed if the locals didn't show up in goodly numbers. Put a huge damper on Cal's efforts if the folks aren't there. Probably on the returnees too.

Hello Everyone,
I apologize, Darrell was correct. My team had another soccer game today so, went a bit MIA.

Here is an interactive 180 view from my seat of the fans who attended the alumni game http://360.io/cm2vZf

For those who can't view that link the photo is included:

There were more fans behind me but, where I was stationed, I couldn't include them in the panoramic photo.

The game was quite quiet at certain times considering the players weren't trying hard and some of the older guys haven't picked up a basketball in 2+ years. But, the numbers weren't bad! I think if he had the game on a day that didn't have UK football, there would have been more people.

One thing I've noticed is that John Calipari has definitely held DeMarcus Cousins back while he attended UK, he made 4+ 3-pointers, some back to back.

And he even admitted it,

Final score was 121-91, White team won. Anthony Davis had 40 points and DeMarcus Cousins had 40 too.

Anthony Davis and and DeMarcus had some very nice complimentary plays:

The older players had some tricks up their sleeves too:

Walter McCarty with some nice ball-handling skills (http://twitter.yfrog.com/5dw3wjfoeauamjknotttfknaz)

Calipari was able to raise over $350,000 and plans on raising $1M next time.

List of some of donations:

$25,000 to the Urban League
$55,000 check is presented to The Starkey Hearing Foundation.
$60,000 check was given to the 4 Paws for Ability, they train dogs to assist injured veterans.
A $110,000 check being presented to the West Liberty Recovery Fund (photo) (http://via.me/-540bslk)
Samaritan's Feet, which provides shoes for those in need, received a check for $25,000.
Everfi Financial Literacy, a program for children in Kentucky to learn money management, etc., received a check for $50,000

Roster for Teams:

White Team Alumni: Tony Delk, DeMarcus Cousins, Perry Stevenson, Anthony Davis, Antoine Walker, Jared Prickett and Walter McCarty.

Blue Team Alumni: Darius Miller, Nazr Mohammed, Michael Kidd-Gilchrist, Jeff Sherrard, Derek Anderson, Wayne Turner, Randolph Morris.

Coaches: John Wall for the Blue Team, Drake for the White Team.

Fun Fact:

Coach Joe B. Hall was in attendance and Drake was, of course we know that.

UKBigBlueNation Chip Miller and I got a spam tweet about being the next backup dancers in Drake's music video. We decided we have too much swag to be in the video.

Thanks, Erin! Great stuff.

Listen to Erin apologize--she failed to mention, of course, that "her team" smashed previously undefeated Mississippi State, 3-0 today, and UK had a SEC weekend sweep for the first time in the Coach Lipsitz era! UK moves to 7-1-0 (2-0-0 SEC) on the season, while Mississippi State suffered their first loss of the year to drop to 7-1-1 (0-1-1). Well done, ladies.
