"This is a high deductible plan where I'm assuming a lot of risk for my health insurance for my family. And nothing has changed, our boys are healthy-- they're young --my wife is healthy. I'm healthy, nothing in our medical history has changed to warrant a tripling of our premiums.

and here lies the problem. My health care plan is now required to cover birth control. As an example, both my wife and myself are close to 50 years old and she has had her tubes tied yet our insurance is now REQUIRED to pay for birth control. This cost the insurance company money and that cost will be passed on even though its something I have no interest or use for. So now the gov't decide what your risk exposure is, what you deductable is, how long your children will be covered, etc... without consideration for your specific needs. See, its a "one size fits all" type thing. This guys rates went up $600 per month. Basically he just took a 7K per year pay cut. I honestly hope he voted for Obama because I firmly believe you get what you deserve.
