The Obama dog, something on it for everyone, but you gotta take out a second mortgage to buy one. Looks better than it tastes, apparently, too.

A bit of a misrepresentation on this one. The planes were also carrying luggage and other vital equipment that needs to accompany the president. Its not like presented where the dog flew in its own private plane.

Sequester has more than a million laid off of jobs, economy in permanent "liberal mode", he spends tens of millions to vacation with the uber rich, bookended nicely with speeches about how much he cares about the poor and middle class. Camp David would have cost a tiny fraction of that amount, and they even have a nice gun range for his shotgun shooting.

I wonder how the media would react to a conservative President taking 9 days off and going to some island at the cost of 10s of millions would go over.

A bit of one, but it underscores just how much money is being spent for them to hang out in the Hamptons when far cheaper options were available for a family vacation, this on the heels of an Africa trip that cost even more. Them spending a week in the Hamptons has meant having hundreds of agents there for a month or more with preparations, massive moving of equipment and people and housing all of them, all so he can play golf on THAT course versus others that would have given him family time without costing the American people tens of millions of additional dollars.

They have to move so much equipment a Boeing 747 isn't nearly enough to haul it all. The motorcade of vehicles, the national security equipment, it's got to be like watching them assemble for the D-Day landing.

It highlights the fact that the President's pet is getting better treatment from him than the 650,000 defense workers who just went on furlough.

Not sure about the heart, but it has been strongly rumored he has no brain

As a dog owner, actually two, he must not think much of his pet to not allow it to travel with them. I think that dog is for show.
