My 2nd year of chemistry teacher was, but it was a he. Learned how to make contact/compression explosives in his class. Weird, geeky little guy, but he knew his chemistry.

Mrs Gaines was in her 70's back in 1971. I don't think cocaine had even been discovered yet, but if it had, I doubt Edna Gaines was into snorting it. Now geritol, maybe;

Stuff like this is so remote from the culture that existed when I was in elementary school. Now there's a story like this popping up almost everywhere.
